It is believed that Barcelona tried to sign Reina during the Summer but because he had three years remaining on his contract, the two parties did not reach any agreements.
But now with Simon Mignolet the new number one, he is unlikely to come back and a move away from the club would suit both Liverpool and the Spanish international.
Barcelona have also made Atletico Madrid keeper Courtois and also Monchengladbach's ter Stegan as targets for the club during the next few months as well.
