- Arsenal managed to make possibly one of the best moves of the window with a late dash for Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil for a club record £42.5m to finally replace Cesc Fabregas.
- Manchester United managed to scrape in a last minute deal with the signing of Everton's Felliani for a massive £27.5m after a move for Ander Herrera fell through.
- Liverpool wrapped up the double signing of defensive duo Mamadou Sakho from Paris Saint-Germain and also Thiago Ilori from Sporting Lisbon for a combined fee of £25m.
- Chelsea offloaded Romelu Lukaku on loan to Everton after failing to find a home for Demba Ba. Everton also wrapped up a loan for Gareth Barry and bought in James McCarthy as a Felliani Replacement.
- Marseille made the purchase of Florian Thauvin from Lille and also a last minute deal for Lorient player Mario Lemina.
- Atletico Madrid made good value with their two deals with Arsenal target Josuha Guilavogui joining for £9m and Toby Alderweireld coming from Ajax to replace Martin Demichelis.
- West Bromwich purchased Victor Anichebe from Everton whilst they broke their club record transfer fee with the signing of Sunderland's Sessegnon for an undisclosed fee.
- Kaka makes his 'dream' return to AC Milan on a free transfer leaving Real Madrid after a horrid four seasons at the club.
