Chelsea to make Marco Van Ginkel first Jose Mourinho signing

Jose Mourinho is set to make his first signing for Chelsea in his second spell in charge of the Blues with Vitesse Arnham midfielder Marco Van Ginkel set to leave for England.

The two clubs are already believed to have an agreement in place for the Netherland youth international with their good relationship between one another getting the deal over the line.

Chelsea loaned out Tomas Kalas, Patrick Van Aanholt and Gael Kakuta all to Vitesse this season to help them to 4th place in the league and Europa league qualification.

Mourinho views Van Ginkel not only as an addition to the squad but someone who could hold a key starting place in the 11 for large portions of next season.

The 20-year old has been in some impressive form for the Dutch club with the central midfielder finding the back of the net 8 times and assisting another 10 goals in all league appearances this season.
