Real Madrid to Complete Deal for Kondogbia

Real Madrid are looking to finalize a deal to sign Sevilla defensive midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia with current talks at an advanced stage.

The French youth international has performed superbly for Sevilla this season and his efforts have not gone unnoticed with many big clubs interested in the holding midfielder.

According to Spanish newspaper MARCA, Real Madrid want Kondogbia to become their second signing of the summer with Malaga star Isco joining earlier in the week.

Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nidohas confessed that Real Madrid have made a bid of around 9 million euros but he stated that it wouldn't be enough to prize their star. Instead he suggested that this offer had been upped in order to sign the 20-year old.

Although Sevilla may lose one of their most talented players, Kondogbia could remain at the club next season to help further his development as there may not be a regular starting position in Madrid for him just yet.
